The Department of French and Italian in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Twentieth and Twenty-first Century Italian Studies. This is a one-year, non-tenure track appointment with the potential for renewal. Candidates with strong interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary interests are especially encouraged to apply. Teaching duties include six graduate and undergraduate courses in English and Italian, with one graduate course focusing on literature. A strong research agenda, demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching, and native or near-native fluency in Italian and English are required. Ph.D. In Italian is required by the time of appointment (August 16, 2015).
