Denver University


The Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of Denver will hire a Teaching Assistant Professor of Italian for appointment to begin September 1, 2016. This is a non-tenure track position, with full benefits and a 3-year contract, renewable; promotion possible. Salary is competitive. The annual teaching load is eight classes on a quarter calendar. The person appointed will teach all levels of Italian, though mainly beginning, 1st-year classes. She or he will also serve as coordinator of a multi-section beginning Italian sequence: duties include the development of rigorous and stimulating beginning language curriculum, the hiring and training of adjunct faculty, and annual assessment of the basic language program. We will conduct semifinalist interviews at the MLA Convention in Austin early January. Deadline for applications is October 15, 2015.



Qualifications:

l Native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English.

l M.A. in Italian required, ABD status or PhD in Italian or closely related field preferred

l Area of specialization open; second-language acquisition and language pedagogy or Italian cultural studies preferred.

l Experience teaching Italian language and culture to undergraduate students in the US.

Position Description
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures (RLL) seeks applications for a lecturer in RLL to serve as Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS). The appointment is expected to begin on August 1, 2015, or on January 1, 2016.

With responsibility for managing the department’s undergraduate concentration program, the DUS reports directly to the Chair. The DUS is responsible for advising all concentrators individually, for leading student outreach, for overseeing the undergraduate honors program, and for curricular development. The DUS represents the RLL undergraduate program within Harvard College and serves as liaison with other academic and administrative offices across the university. The DUS works closely with the Chair, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Board of Undergraduate Studies, the Director of the Language Program, and faculty in the department to assure the smooth overall functioning of the department, including through membership in the Executive Committee. The DUS is directly supported by an Undergraduate Coordinator.

In addition, the DUS teaches two courses per year. Those courses could be at the “bridge”, 70-90, or 100 levels. Ideally the courses would be designed in the spirit of interdisciplinary classes and social/cultural issues. Possible examples might include, among others, courses on human rights in the Caribbean, on global economics, on immigrant and/or subaltern writing within European countries, or on literary and artistic representations of race, class, and gender.

The position is for a term of three years.

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate in Romance Languages and Literatures or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins. At least three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence in teaching is desired. Administrative experience a plus. A strong working knowledge of two Romance Languages is desirable. A strong understanding of American higher education, and especially of undergraduate education, a must.

The faculty are seeking to appoint a Lector in Italian. This role is designed as a 3-year career development role (beginning on 1 September 2015) for individuals seeking a career in language teaching, and encompasses a 3-year development programme. Individuals will be appointed a mentor and will be expected to develop and maintain their own learning objectives throughout the programme.

The Lector is responsible for preparing and delivering language teaching within the sub-faculty (for 7 hours a week), including marking work and participating in oral examinations.

This 3-year programme is designed to provide training and development for individuals who are comparatively new to a career in language teaching, as such applicants who have already held a substantively similar post for any significant period will not be eligible to apply. Applicants must be fluent in Italian to native speaker level, and recently resident (studying or travelling) in Italy. Visiting Assistant Professor of Italian. This is a one-year position at the Department of Languages at Clemson University beginning August 2015. The teaching load is 3/3 per semester, which includes language courses at all levels as well as literature and culture courses.

Coordinatori campi volontariato


Perché il coordinatore?

L’ Associazione InformaGiovani organizza ogni anno circa 20 campi e progetti internazionali di volontariato sia in Italia sia all'estero, per i quali è necessaria la presenza di coordinatori e co-coordinatori.


Per la buona riuscita di questi progetti è molto importante, accanto a quello del partner locale, il ruolo svolto dal coordinatore o dalla coordinatrice: volontari che assumono il ruolo di favorire l'organizzazione delle attività, fare da contatto fra i volontari e l'associazione/ente locale che ospita il progetto, tenere i contatti con l'ufficio di InformaGiovani.

L'esperienza del coordinamento è una esperienza unica: permette di sviluppare capacità di gestione di un gruppo, gestire un progetto (in termini logistici, organizzativi e di budget), essere in grado di motivare uno gruppo di volontari, creare una dinamica di gruppo, organizzare delle attività in un ambiente multiculturale.

I requisiti per poter svolgere il ruolo di coordinatore sono:
- avere più di 18 anni
- avere una buona conoscenza dell’Inglese
- avere avuto una precedente esperienza di volontariato, possibilmente di campi in ambito nazionale o internazionale
- avere l’interesse e la possibilità di coordinare uno o più progetti della durata minima di 10 giorni ciascuno in un periodo compreso fra il 15 marzo e il 15 ottobre.

Condizioni economiche
I coordinatori dei campi ricevono il rimborso di tutte le spese sostenute e non pagano la tessera di iscrizione.
Non è previsto un compenso per il coordinamento di singoli campi, ma nel caso in cui vi fosse la disponibilità minima di un mese (per il coordinamento di due campi in aree geografiche contigue) possiamo prevedere anche un compenso minimo.
Ai nostri coordinatori offriamo poi tre opportunità:
prendere parte, con rimborso integrale di tutte le spese, ad uno dei nostri progetti europei ed extra europei (attualmente previsti in Portogallo, Grecia, Vietnam, Hong-Kong e Kenya);
partecipare gratuitamente alle attività di formazione e networking che si svolgono in Europa;
partecipare senza costi di iscrizione ad un campo in Europa nel 2016

Lauro de Bosis Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Committee for the Lauro De Bosis Lectureship in the History of Italian
Civilization at Harvard University seeks candidates who attained their Ph.D.
(or equivalent) within the past ten years (December 2004 or after), for a
postdoctoral fellowship in any aspect of Italian culture, history, and society,
to be held during the academic year 2015-2016. The fellowship may be one or two
semesters in length, depending on the proposed research project; it carries a
stipend of $25,000 for one semester and $50,000 for two semesters. The
recipient of the fellowship will be expected to be in residence in Cambridge
for the entire period of her or his appointment, and to use the resources of
the University to pursue a project with a substantial Italian component. He or
she will also have the opportunity to teach a course or organize a workshop at
Harvard, and will be expected to make a seminar presentation of his or her
work.

Seminari finanziati su progetti educativi internazionali - Francia

L'Associazione InformaGiovani sta cercando alcuni partecipanti per due
progetti internazionali che si svolgeranno nelle prossime settimane

Si tratta in particolare di un seminario ed uno scambio/formazione.

Il Seminario si svolgerà in Francia, a Montendre, dal 2 al marzo. Non
ci sono limiti di età.
Il limite di rimborso spesa è del 100% fino ad un massimo di 275 euro.
Non sono previsti costi in loco.

Lo scambio/corso di formazione si svolgerà a Tenerife, in Spagna dal
27 marzo al 7 aprile. L'età dei partecipanti deve essere compresa fra
18 e 30 anni.
Il limite di rimborso spesa è del 100% fino ad un massimo di 400 euro.
Non sono previsti costi in loco.

About the role
We are offering the opportunity for recent graduates and final year students to apply for our Summer Internship scheme. The internship will last for eight consecutive weeks over the summer period. This will provide the opportunity for those interested in a career in publishing and business to gain valuable insights into a publishing house. It will also be a chance to experience work and life at a leading University Press.

The successful candidates will each work on a specific project for the eight week period. They will work within different departments supporting our marketing, editorial, rights, production and project teams. The projects cover a variety of areas from science to maths publishing and bilingual dictionaries to online products. The individual projects are listed on our Summer Internship web page.

The internship scheme is Oxford based and will start on 29 June 2015 and finish on 21 August 2015. Interviews for the internship will take place throughout April 2015.

The key objective of the internship scheme is to allow graduates to gain a range of valuable skills and work experience, which will in turn support them with future applications within the publishing industry.

About you
Successful candidates will have a good academic record, be a recent graduate or final year student and be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as a genuine commitment to a career in publishing.

​​Ho il piacere di comunicare che ​​Il CAMPUS MARE NOSTRUM 37 /38, Campus di Eccellenza Internazionale tra l’Universitá di Murcia e l’Universitá Politecnica di Cartagena per l’anno accademico 2014-2015 mette a disposizione 95 borse di studio per svolgere 19 Master Universitari presso l’Università di Murcia e l’Università Politecnica di Cartagena, (Spagna) in collaborazione con INPS - Gestione Dipendenti Pubblici.


Le borse di studio sono destinate ai figli ed agli orfani dei dipendenti iscritti alla Gestione Unitaria delle prestazioni creditizie e sociali (art.1,c.245 della legge 662/96) e dei figli e degli orfani dei pensionati utenti dell’INPS Gestione Dipendenti Pubblici.




​BORSA CMN-INPS
La borsa di studio CMN-INPS comprende:

Immatricolazione al Master presso la Universidad de Murcia o Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena e relativa copertura assicurativa per infortuni e responsabilità civili a terzi.
Immatricolazione ad un corso di lingua a scelta per la durata di 4 mesi
Immatricolazione ad una summer school per il periodo estivo.
Immatricolazione alla palestra universitaria.
Rilascio della pergamena al termine del Master.


Inoltre, è previsto



Tirocinio: Gli studenti con borsa di studio INPS svolgeranno un periodo di tirocinio, paralellamente alla parte accademica, per una durata totale di 3 mesi e riceveranno inoltre un contributo di 300 euro al mese. Gli studenti saranno coperti per tutta la durata del tirocinio da assicurazione per infortuni e responsabilitá civili a terzi.
Pocket money: A tutti gli studenti è riconosciuto un contributo periodico forfettario per le spese di alloggio e mantenimento, se residenti “fuori sede” rispetto alla sede di svolgimento del Master. Tale contributo ha un valore totale di 3330 euro e sará elargito nella seguente modalitá: 50% il mese successivo all’inizio del Master, 40% a metá del percorso accademico e il restante 10% a conclusione del Master.
