Ph.D. all over the world

Per chi vuole fare un Ph.D. vivere in Italia è pressocché una disgrazia. I dottorati sono controllatissimi e gestiti da una classe accademica baronale che poco permette a chi non è figlio d'arte. Ciò che puoi fare tranquillamente in USA, o Germania, UK, Francia, per citare solo alcuni dei paesi occidentali più efficienti, in Italia spesso non lo puoi fare.
Ma ... il mondo è sempre più piccolo, per fortuna, e le distanze sempre più brevi. Così come molti corsi universitari, ormai, sono anche online, anche sempre più Ph.D. si possono svolgere online. Ovviamente bisogna far attenzione al riconoscimento dei titoli: molti sono un bluff (occorre ricordare la recente laurea 'albanese' di Bossi che non sa una parola di albanese?), molti corsi non sono riconosciuti o vendono titoli che non hanno alcun valore culturale ma, da quanto ne so, tali situazioni esistono da sempre, non solo adesso, nell'era della realtà virtuale.
Che un Ph.D. si possa fare online è semplicemente una gran bella opportunità che, se fondata su un lavoro reale e serio, non toglie nulla al valore del titolo. La possiiblità di un Ph.D. online semplicemente ci affranca dalla 'disgrazia' di aver voglia di studiare ma dover vivere in Italia.
