Applications are invited for a full-time faculty appointment in Italian in the Department of Modern Languages at Franklin College Switzerland. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach undergraduate courses at all levels in Italian language, and literature in both Italian and English translation. Experience welcome in teaching first-year seminar. Start date is the fall semester, 2008. Required credentials: earned doctorate in field; evidence or promise of excellence in teaching; demonstrated ability and commitment to scholarly research; active support of the liberal arts; ability to lead travel/study program; ability to help develop a major program in Italian Studies. International experience a plus.
