The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Cultures at
Assumption College seeks a one-year, full-time replacement in Italian
with the possibility of renewal. Field of expertise open, yet
preference given to a generalist with native or near-native
proficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment
to excellence in teaching language, culture, and literature at the
undergraduate level. The successful candidate will also show a
willingness to contribute to the college's growing program in Italian
Studies. Ability to teach a second language a plus. Teaching load
4/3. PhD in hand at time of appointment. ABD considered. Applicants
must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College
as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity
of Assumption College.
