Qualifications
For Ireland, USA, Canada and Malta must have a recognised EFL qualification or QTS.
For other countries must have a appropriate teaching qualification.


Compensation
The rate depends on the type and duration of course and number of hours tuition per week.

The Department of Foreign Languages at Kennesaw State University,
located in a beautiful suburban area near Atlanta, GA, seeks
candidate(s) for appointment as part-time instructor(s) in Italian

Responsibilities include teaching up to two classes per semester. The
first section we will have available is a beginning Italian course to
be held during the Summer semester, T/TH 11:00AM-1:45PM. One/two
additional beginning classes will most likely be available in the
Fall '08 semester.

Required qualifications: enthusiasm/interest in teaching
communicative, learner-centered, beginning Italian language and
culture courses; a Master in Italian or in a related field with a
minimum of 18 graduate hours in Italian, or Italian Laurea in Lettere
or in a related field. Ph.D.s or ABDs in Italian/Italian Studies are
welcome, and previous experience in teaching Italian at the college
level is preferred.

We are seeking an innovative and productive scholar whose major field
of research is Italian cinema and modern literature (19th and 20th

Cinema Studies is essential.

19th-century Italian literature would be regarded as a special asset.

Italian language and culture in southern Colorado and beyond, to
prepare students to use Italian in their daily activities (work,
leisure, service), and to enhance the language abilities of K-12
teachers and support them in their efforts. This mission is
accomplished by providing instruction to university students in
Italian language and culture and offering an Italian minor, by
sponsoring and promoting Italian-related cultural events, and by
promoting study abroad to Italy.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: Colorado State University-Pueblo is a regional,
comprehensive university. The 275-acre campus, which overlooks the
Front Range of south-central Colorado, is located in Pueblo,
approximately 100 miles south of Denver in one of the more culturally
dynamic regions of the country. Pueblo is proud of its ethnically and

The School of Arts is a young and vibrant school
with an expanding focus on the study and
development of the arts, media, education and
cultural enterprise. It brings together City's
renowned subject areas of: Cultural Policy and
Management, Journalism and Publishing, Music, and Language Studies.

We are looking for experienced practitioners to
teach on our new Postgraduate Diploma / MA in
Legal Translation which will start in September
2008. You will have the following skills and experience:
* First Degree / Masters Degree in a relevant
subject (Law, Languages, Linguistics, Philology, Translation)
* Knowledge of the legal system of England
and Wales or one of France, Germany, Italy and Spain
* Teaching experience at HE level or equivalent
* Translation experience in one of
French/German/Italian/Spanish into English or vice versa
* Experience of online teaching / studying desirable

The programme has a flexible attendance pattern.
Teaching will take place in blocks of 3-4 days
four times a year, followed by distance learning.
