MPhil/PhD Studentship and Language Assistantship in Italian

The School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Royal Holloway is offering the following postgraduate opportunity to suitably qualified candidates:

A 3-year part-time language assistantship to be combined with full-time postgraduate research. The award covers tuition fees and maintenance of £8,500 per annum for three years (subject to satisfactory progress). The successful candidate will work towards the preparation of a PhD thesis. Candidates must have native or near-native standard English and Italian, and be available to teach six hours per week of Italian language during the academic year. They must have a very good undergraduate degree and a postgraduate qualification such as an MA.

You should include a research proposal of at least 1000 words plus bibliography.

The deadline for application is Friday 31 May 2013. Interviews are provisionally scheduled on Wednesday 19 June. Please note that we are unable to reimburse costs incurred to attend interviews.
