Teaching Fellowship at York University

We are introducing a new degree programme for Ab-initio Italian from October 2014 and are seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to coordinate and teach on the Italian course from September 2014. You will also contribute to either the teaching of French or Spanish, on both the degree and the university wide Languages for All programme.

You will play a full part in the teaching, supervision and administration of the Department, with particular responsibility for developing new Italian modules and coordinating the Italian degree. You will have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Italian, or in a relevant subject if Italian is your first language. Language teaching experience in higher education is essential.

You should ensure that you meet the essential criteria in the person specification section in the candidate brief for this post before starting your application.

Informal enquiries may be made to Cathy Dantec by telephone (+44 (0) 1904 322621) or by email ([log in to unmask]). Please also see the department web pages at http://www.york.ac.uk/language/.

The post is full-time and is offered on an open contract basis.
