International media team based in West London are looking for an Italian native speaker to join their multi-cultural team. It is likely you will have studied as a translator or journalist and enjoy sub editing, translating, proofing and quality assurance work. You should be able to demonstrate a keen interest in TV and broadcast, and be happy to work as part of a team.
Your role will be primarily focused transliterating, editing & summarising text. Quality assurance is essential as you will be responsible for the final proofing. You should be happy to work extensively on a dedicated software package for scheduling purposes. There will be client liaison so all candidates should have previous experience in a co-ordination or client service role. You should be prepared to undertake extensive language tests on client site as part of the recruitment process.
The role is a flexible and part time role that will supplement the team at times of high workload and to cover holiday and sickness. Flexibility will be required.
